As founding partner of the Bullard Law Group, Ed always takes the practical approach on behalf of his clients to “get the deal closed”. With more than 20 years of experience representing landlords, tenants, borrowers, lenders, buyers and sellers in sophisticated and complex commercial real estate and corporate matters, Ed always seeks to reach sensible solutions without compromising his client’s rights or business goals.
Ed has successfully represented major retail, restaurant and franchise brands, as well as small businesses in connection with their business, acquisition and leasing needs. He has handled numerous matters in New York City, Long Island, the Metropolitan Area and many other States, including California, Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Illinois, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
Ed also actively represents several real estate developers, successfully represented them with their acquisition, financing and disposition of commercial properties, including build-to suit, owner occupied, multi-family, mixed use and self-storage properties.
He has been recognized by Long Island Business News in its “Who’s Who in Commercial Real Estate” edition and in the “The Real Deal-New York Real Estate News” for handling one of the most expensive deed transactions in New York City. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is consistently recognized and recommended by other real estate professionals.
Ed graduated magna cum laude from the SUNY Stony Brook with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and was salutatorian of the School of Engineering. He was nominated to make the graduation speech at their commencement ceremony. Ed earned his law degree from Hofstra University School of Law, where he was a member of the Hofstra Law Review.
He is married to his wife Arlene since 2000 and has three children. Ed enjoys and regularly participates in numerous sporting activities, including basketball, football, golf, softball and skiing. He is extremely active in his home community of Hauppauge, New York, where he volunteers with the Hauppauge and Catholic Youth organizations and has coached numerous team sports with his children over the last 10 years.

Michael R. Bertschi specializes in residential and commercial real estate acquisitions, sales and financing representing purchasers, sellers and lenders. Prior to joining Bullard Law Group, PLLC, Michael managed a fast-paced real estate department of a mid-sized law firm based in lower Manhattan. He understands and is dedicated to maintaining close lines of communication with our clients, providing sophisticated legal advice with a personal touch. These characteristics are the cornerstone of Bullard Law Group, PLLC, and allow us to represent all our clients effectively and successfully.
Michael has over twenty (20) years of experience in every type of real estate transaction. This experience has allowed Michael to establish solid contacts with title abstract companies, mortgage lenders, real estate brokers and insurance agencies, all of which are invaluable to the clients he represents.
Michael’s vast experience in the real estate field has well prepared him for his duties and responsibilities at Bullard Law Group, PLLC. He is knowledgeable in the areas of refinance and mortgage assumption, guiding his clients through the complexities of commercial and residential finance. He also has extensive experience representing landlords and tenants in connection with commercial leases.
Michael lives with his wife, Krista, and their three children in Coram.

A 2018 graduate of Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, Matthew Baldassano joins Bullard Law Group’s commercial real estate division. As a young associate, Matt is no stranger to the real estate market. Since 2010, he has held different positions in the real estate profession from property maintenance, construction site supervisor to co-owner of a Residential Building and a Real Estate Holding company.
At the firm, Matt is responsible for drafting contracts, leases and closing documents as well as conducting due diligence, reviewing title and easement documentation and preparing lease and contract review memos for various types of commercial transactions.
Matt currently participates in the Nassau County Bar Association Foreclosure Assistance Program as Law Graduate volunteer dealing with foreclosure settlement conferences, residential loan modifications, reverse mortgages and the Mortgage Assistance Program. He was also a Nassau County Surrogate’s Court Judicial Intern during the Summer 2017, clerking for the Hon. Margaret Reilly.
Matt lives in Mineola and enjoys writing, history documentaries, museums, hiking, travelling and pro-bono volunteer work. He is a 3rd degree Knight an active member of the Knights of Columbus – Council 2502.

Andrea G. Block has over 18 years of experience representing purchasers, sellers and lenders in all phases of commercial and residential real estate transactions including sales, acquisitions, financing, refinances, development of commercial and multifamily properties, commercial and private lending transactions.
Andrea’s practice has involved a focus on the resolution of complex title issues protecting clients’ interests and investments. She is knowledgeable in the areas of finance and refinance, counseling clients through the various strategies employed to minimize tax and other expenses.
She is dedicated to providing effective and successful representation of clients with an emphasis on communication, and the understanding of the unique circumstances of each client and their particular needs and goals to ensure that the client is protected and their interests served. Valerie joined the Bullard Law Group in January 2021 as the Firm’s Assistant. She facilitates communication with clients, Attorneys, and third-party vendors in addition to managing all firm networking events, marketing, and social media.
In her free time you will find Valerie with her family on the beautiful beaches of Long Island, sharing a picnic in the park, or enjoying the sights and sounds of Manhattan. There is no place like home, so after a brief time in Ohio she has returned to New York and lives with her husband and their son on the South Shore of Long Island.
